If you remember, it was just a few days ago that we reported that Bruno Mars has been offered the “headliner spot” at the upcoming 50th Superbowl halftime show. Now, our colleagues at Hollywood Life are reporting that mega-pop-band One Direction are in “talks” with the NFL perhaps with the thought that they will join Mars for this epic event. (The Superbowl will precede 1D’s upcoming hiatus). Bruno Mars and One Direction at the Super Bowl? What do you think about that?

So, who can forget that nifty drum solo that Bruno Mars did that kicked of the half-time show at Super Bowl XLVIII (48) in 2014? Remember that?
Well, it looks like we might see some more of the same at the upcoming 50th Super Bowl halftime show which will take place on February 7, 2016, in Santa Clara, California. The 50th S.B. will be played at Levi’s Stadium which is the home of the San Francisco 49ers.
Bruno Mars has been offered the headliner spot for the Super Bowl L (50) halftime show.
Mars’ last Super appearance was at Super Bowl XLVIII when he performed at the halftime show with the Red Hot Chili Peppers. The 2014 show was the most watched ever until it was eclipsed by Katy Perry’s performance at the 2015 Super Bowl halftime show. No doubt the success of Mark Ronson’s Uptown Funk had something to do with this selection which in our opinion is a great one.
That’s just Super Bruno!
