The mega-star rapper Drake has just confirmed that he’s collaborating on a mixtape with the rapper Future.

The project will be the second release for both artists and it is due out tomorrow, on September 20.

Editor’s Note: According to Urban, a mixtape is a “mix featuring songs that have been carefully choosen, mixed and recorded onto an analog or digital medium. The name Mixtape is used because they were originally mixed and recorded onto cassette tapes by DJs in the 70’s 80’s and 90’s. DJs later recorded mixtapes onto CD which gave them their second name Mix-CDs. Mixtape [however,] still prevails over the term Mix-CD as the main word used to describe DJ mixes of this nature.”

Speculation has been fueled, in part, by Instagram postings showing the two rapsters together like this post.

However, in the following Instagram post Drake made it clear exactly when the material would be released.

WHAT A TIME TO BE ALIVE available at 8pm EST, Sunday on ITunes @future @applemusic A photo posted by champagnepapi (@champagnepapi) on

So, it appears that 8:00 p.m. EST on Sunday is the time. This release has been widely anticipated and why not? Drake has an excellent tract record with If You’re Reading This It’s Too Late and Future’s most recent album, Dirty Sprite 2, has received critical acclaim in addition to being a successful record in and of itself. Together, these two stars can be unbelievable. Indeed, Drake’s “Future” seems bright.
