Skrillex On Bieber Infringement Suit: I’m Not “Sorry”

Just a few days ago we told you about a newly filed lawsuit against mega star Justin Bieber and others surrounding a vocal riff found in Bieber’s 2015 hit song, Sorry. You can check out our original blog here.

In a surprising move, the song’s producer–Skrillex ((a/k/a Sonny John Moore) who is also a singer and songwriter)–has just posted a response to the allegations on his Facebook page and you can check it out below. Essentially, Skrillex shows how Sorry’s signature vocal riff came about.

Skrillex also Tweeted the video and he added this statement:


Since a lawsuit was filed this is a bold move on the part of Skrillex as parties typically go mum on the advice of counsel. Check out the video and tell us what you think. Is this a viable defense or should Skrillex and crew be Sorry?
