Clothing and lifestyle retailer Kmart has suddenly announced plans to drop Nicki Minaj and her clothing line from their stores.
It was a bitter relationship. In fact, Kmart is not only ending it, they’re getting rid of the inventory as fast as possible.
“Due to a dramatic decrease in sales, Nicki Minaj’s clothing line will soon be discontinued,” the retailer tweeted. “Items are now 50% off.”
Nicki’s line debuted in 2015 at K-Mart and got rave reviews for the cutting edge line that was meant to attract a younger, urban demographic to the struggling retailer.
Sears, Kmart’s parent company, announced earlier this year that would close 150 Kmart and Sears stores by the spring of 2017.
