As you might have heard, there is a new legal action being brought by one of the copyright holders to the Marvin Gaye epic tune Let’s Get It On against pop superstar Ed Sheeran over Sheeran’s wildly popular single entitled Thinking Out Loud. The suit is seeking $100 million dollars in damages. The argument is that Thinking Out Loud borrowed too much from Gaye’s Let’s Get It On. Do you agree?
This is actually the second lawsuit over this song as the first one was dismissed. That prior action was brought by the person who co-wrote the song with Gaye. So, you tell us, is Ed in the clear or did he cross the line?
