Remember the pop sensation group The Jonas Brothers? That’s the three brothers (Joe, Nick, and Kevin) who originated from New Jersey who just a few years back took the pop world by storm.
The “Joe Bros”–as they were affectionately referred to–are also former Disney stars. In 2008 the group was nominated for the Best New Artist award at the 51st Grammy Awards and they actually won the award for Breakthrough Artist at the American Music Awards. Since then, Nick has begun an effective and successful solo career while brother Kevin had an E! reality show called Married To Jonas and he has also made appearances on Celebrity Apprentice and The Real Housewives Of New Jersey.
Well now Joe Jonas now has a new project called DNCE.
The project was born out of Jonas’ plan for an offbeat pop group which was inspired by Earth, Wind & Fire as well as Hall & Oates. Joining Joe in DNCE is guitarist JinJoo Lee (Jodin Sparks, Charli XCX, and, CeeLo Green), bassist/keyboardist Cole Whittle (Semi-Precious Weapons), and, Jack Lawless (Lawless played with the Joe Bros on their 2006 tour).
DNCE has released its new single entitled Cake By The Ocean According to Joe, “That song was a total breakthrough. Once we came up with ‘Cake by the Ocean,’ everything was electric.” We here at Beato’s Blog like the tune and take a moment to check it out below. If this tune is a glimpse of what is to come it sounds like the project has legs. Better get your DNCEing shoes on.
