The success of the iconic band Chicago is well documented and legendary. In fact, we covered a lot of the band’s history in our recent feature on Chicago’s longest standing drummer, Tris Imboden, as part of Imboden’s 2015 summer tour diary. Check it out here. So, with the Chicago’s nomination for induction into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame for 2016,
we cannot say that we are one bit surprised and out of respect for Chicago and the other nominees, we will simply say it’s about time with taking issue with what took so long. (Did someone mention Rush?). There is no doubt that if any living band deserves to be in the RRHOF it is Chicago and we dare anyone to challenge that statement. Speaking on behalf of the band Robert Lamm had this to say:
“On behalf of the members of the band Chicago, past and present, I am grateful for the creative life that music continues to provide. We are surprised and honored to be nominated.”
Chicago’s drummer, Tris Imboden, Tweeted this:
So happy the band has finally been nominated for the RRHOF!

We sincerely hope that Chicago is inducted and that they are finally put where they belong.
