On Sunday, February 5, two of the remaining four NFL teams will be competing against one another at NRG Stadium in Houston during Super Bowl 51. Of course, with another Super Bowl comes another half-time show. This year’s entertainment will be headlined by pop icon Lady Gaga. Another major crooner–Adele–had previously turned down the gig and she had explained her reasons for doing so like this:
“First of all, I’m not doing the Super Bowl… I mean, come on, that show is not about music. And I don’t really… I can’t dance or anything like that. They were very kind, they did ask me, but I did say no. I’m sorry. Maybe next time, for my next album, because I’m going to do a dance album next time. So maybe I’ll do it then.”
With Adele out, negotiations then turned (last year) to Gaga particularly following her release of her latest studio album , entitled Joanne. Subsequently, last September Gaga then confirmed her half-time appearance and just today sponsor, Pepsi, Tweeted this interesting behind the scenes look at Gaga’s preparation for Super Bowl 51. Check it out:

Obviously, Lady Gaga–a determined, talented, and prolific performer–is primed to succeed on one of the greatest stages a performer can take. In fact, check out this Instagram post from the crooner which lets her fans know that she is in it to win it by training hard. Gaga is, as they say, a “performer’s performer.”
We have no doubt that the upcoming half-time performance by Lady Gaga will serve to once again remind us that there is a reason why the annual February football classic was named the “Super Bowl”–from start to finish.
