Bieber Joins The “Record(breaking)” Mix

We have been reporting that pop icons One Direction and Adele have recently been smashing “records” by selling “records,” and lots of them. However, any such discussion has to include megastar Justin Bieber who continues to build a dynasty of his own. The Beebs’ new album, Purpose, beat One Direction’s record entitled Made In The A.M. on the Billboard charts, however, as is now being reported by Billboard, Bieber has gone even further. Bieber now holds a new record: having the most songs in the Hot 100 in a single week. 2015 MTV Video Music Awards - Arrivals

J.B. boasts 17 songs on the Dec. 5 edition of Billboard’s Hot 100 which actually eclipses the Beatles’ record of 14 which was set in April of 1964. (Incidentally, rapper Drake did the same this year). Add to that the success of Bieber’s Purpose which also debuted at No. 1 on Billboard’s Hot 200 along with the Beebs tying another record currently held by the Beatles and 50 Cent: having three songs in the Hot 100 top five.
Editor’s Note: Oh my, we are going to need a score card to keep up.
