Making a go of this life and a career in music can be very difficult for most of us so, when an individual comes along who has made a nice life for himself along with developing and maintaining an amazing career, you want to listen to what that person has to say. The epic bass player, Abe Laboriel, Sr., is one of those people. We had the privilege to recently spend a few minutes with Abe to explore his life along with his thoughts on his career and his family. Abe had a lot to say and his thoughts are nothing short of intriguing and our upcoming interview with Abe is sure to not disappoint.
For now, suffice it to say Abe is a fascinating soul indeed who is probably going as strong at 68 as he was when he was a younger man half that age. In fact, Abe seems to not only find the proverbial silver lining in life and music but he also strives to live by it. We sincerely hope you will enjoy hearing Abe talk about his life, how his career came together, and, his insights on his legacy. That is, a legacy that this well respected and well known player sees for himself, his family, and those who have been fortunate enough to have come in contact with him in his musical travels.
In addition to the refreshing and inspiring persona that has become Abe Laboriel, Sr.—who is arguably one of the greatest and in-demand session bassists of all time—underlies a passionate, professional, and all encompassing musician whose talents are second to none. Add to that a man who made sacrifices for his family early on that have paid priceless dividends later in life, and you have a wonderful story led by a wonderful man. We firmly believe our chat with Abe with prove this to be true. Please look for our upcoming interview with this bassist extraordinaire.
